Design cinematic builds with rich mallet swells. Create smooth transitions with shimmery whooshes, dramatic crashes and more.

In the recording process, the sonic qualities of 18 different cymbals were methodically captured by sound designer and recordist Thomas Brodeur and the Sonomar team. Each cymbal was carefully struck at different velocities, angles, and locations (bell, rim, bow) with both wooden sticks and mallets – giving you plenty of colors and tonal nuances to choose from. Over 450 unique cymbal sounds were recorded using three separate stereo pairs for a variety of distinct timbres and perspectives, providing more than 1,300 files total - each with a single cymbal hit or oneshot. All recordings were captured at 192kHz for endless creative possibilities in pitching and processing.
